Simple usage terms for the taihaa beta.
Beta use
taihaa is currently a beta product. Features may change, break, or be removed as the app is improved. The beta is provided for testing, learning, and feedback.
Your content
You are responsible for the texts, URLs, translations, notes, vocabulary, source links, and other content you add to taihaa. Do not upload or import content you do not have permission to use.
URL import
URL import is a convenience feature for public article pages. It may fail, extract incomplete text, or return formatting errors. It does not bypass paywalls, login walls, or site restrictions. You should review and edit imported text before saving it as a lesson.
Translation suggestions
Translation suggestions may come from your saved vocabulary, shared user-created dictionary entries, imported dictionaries, or future automated sources. Suggestions may be wrong or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing and editing saved translations.
Learning features
Segmentation, pinyin, Jyutping, text-to-speech, translation fields, review scheduling, and other learning tools are learning aids. They may be incomplete or incorrect and should not be treated as official language instruction.
Base language
English is currently the only fully supported base language for the v2.0 public beta. Other base-language options may be added later, but they should not be assumed to be fully supported yet.
Availability
taihaa is provided as-is during the beta. No uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, or error-free operation is guaranteed.
Exports and deletion
You can export your data from the app. Account deletion is available from Settings after a pre-deletion summary, export confirmation, and typed DELETE confirmation. Deletion is intended to be permanent, so you should export anything you want to keep before deleting your account.
Feedback and support
Feedback submitted through the app may be used to fix bugs, handle support requests, improve taihaa, and plan future features. Your submitted support tickets may show their status and admin feedback inside the app.
Misuse
Do not use taihaa to upload, import, or store illegal, harmful, abusive, or unauthorized content. Access may be restricted if the beta is misused.
