About these HSK 2 stories
HSK 2 stories assume you can already greet someone and name the people at home. The sentences get a little longer, and the day has more moving parts: getting up, the bus, snow, a run, a birthday, and a question in class. You still tap one word at a time. Pinyin is there when you want it and easy to ignore when the character is already familiar from HSK 1. A red shirt and a cheaper white one are enough plot for a lesson, because the point is to meet 便宜, 件, and 颜色 inside a choice someone is making, not on a chart. Listen to the line once before you look anything up, then again after you have saved two or three words. Review the next morning should feel like rereading a sentence you have already understood, not like flipping a bare card. When these eight feel easy, HSK 3 is the next shelf.
