About these HSK 3 stories
HSK 3 is where a Mandarin story starts to hold a whole scene, not just a list of actions. One lesson follows a day from waking to evening. Another is an order at a café, then a weekend plan, then the first hours after arriving in China, then a short reflection on why the language is difficult and still worth it. The grammar is still controlled, but you will meet reason, sequence, and a bit of opinion. Tap the word that blocks the sentence and leave the ones you can guess. Pinyin on every character is useful on the first read and less useful on the second, so turn your attention to the highlight during audio and check whether you still need the transcription. Save the words that would stop you in a real message from a friend. Five lessons is a small shelf on purpose: finish them, then bring your own article into the reader when you want something the course did not write.
