About these A1 stories
Portuguese A1 on taihaa is five short stories set in Brazil. Ana has breakfast at a small bakery, Pedro introduces his family, Lucas rides the yellow school bus, Dona Rosa buys fruit at the Saturday market, and Mariana spends Sunday at the beach with her brother. The sentences stay in the present, and the words are things you can point at: coffee, cheese bread, a dog, mangoes, and the sea. You open the first lesson and tap any word you do not know. A short translation appears for that word, and the rest of the sentence stays in view. Audio reads the line while the current word is highlighted, so you can hear the stress without leaving the page. Save a word only when it actually stopped you. The saved card keeps the sentence, and review brings that sentence back the next day. Five lessons is a small shelf on purpose. Finish them, then paste your own page into the reader when you want something the course did not write.
