About these TOPIK 1 stories
TOPIK 1 stories on taihaa use the polite endings you meet first: 아요 and 어요, names, places, and the particles that glue them. The five lessons are a café, a family, a market trip with a grandmother, a friend, and a morning walk. Romanization is available when you tap a word, and it is a bridge rather than the text. The Hangul stays on the line while you read. A translation appears for the word you tapped, not for the whole paragraph, so you still have to assemble the sentence yourself. That is slower on the first lesson and much faster by the third, because 에, 에서, and 하고 keep coming back. Audio highlights the current word so you can hear the batchim you might have skipped. Save a word with the sentence. A verb stem on its own will not remind you which ending was in the story. If you already read Hangul comfortably, you can ignore the romanization and use the shelf only for the graded sentences.
